Alex Meyer fans San Diego State’s Cory Vaughn during a March 4 game. The 6-foot-8, 205 pound right-hander is a sophomore at the University of Kentucky. He was selected by the Boston Red Sox in the 20th round of the 2008 First-Year Player Draft out of Greensburg (IN) High School, but did not sign. Meyer is considered a top prospect for the 2011 MLB Draft.
