LeafsFanInOttawa at the 2009 NHL Entry Draft – Part 2

A lot shorter than part 1. Really, nothing all that exciting happened after the Kadri selection (aside from the Bouwmeester trade) Thanks for watching! www.leafspace.com

  1. How about that sturdied up team? Komaserik, Exelby, Orr? That will add a bit of toughness next year you reckon’?

I dare to say we have one of the more solid D-lines in the NHL with those 2 additions, Komisarek Schenn Kaberle Finger Exelby and any choice of Van Ryn or White looks pretty decent.

We’re going to need the toughness against the Bruins, and we’re going to need the defense against the habs with all those acquisitions, Spacek, Cammy, Gionta and Gomez. Things are really shaking up.

  2. It was disappointing in terms of the lack of activity in terms of trades…but with the cap figures for after next season, no one wants to make long term moves.

Was Burkie active in speakin gwith other GM’s? Did many GM’s come to the T.O table and vice versa?

  3. Christ, Burke spent half the 2nd day at the stage, talking with a new GM every 10 minutes.
A media member was staying at the same hotel as me, told me that the Lwafs tried to make a trade on Friday, and it looked like it would go down on Saturday. Apparently not.

  4. this video is frikken incredible!
